Soul of the sea

In this course, I want to express my love for the Sea — for the ocean element as a dynamic symbol of life itself! The sea appears before us in many forms throughout the course. We will cover a variety of scenes, exploring not only different moods but also content and technical approaches: sunset light and calm water using the wet-on-wet technique; daylight scenes; effects of foam, splashes, and transparency with and without masking fluid; introducing the human figure into the landscape; and the technique of soft transitions in light and shadow, which will become a distinctive “highlight” of the course, since people rarely appear in seascapes.
